_Focus_ is just about the only board review book on this particular subject. Still, for an item so needed, so depended-upon, and so expensive, a far greater attention to editing and composition should be expected. Numerous questions are misphrased--badly enough that the seemingly correct answer is completely wrong. The explanations are often decent enough, but some vigilance is required because random paragraphs and facts are misstated. The bulk of the material is simply taken from Preston and Shapiro, as attested to by the abundant citations. This is not bad per se, but given the other flaws it points out how little additional value is gotten by this volume.In a perverse way, however, the errors and misstatements make it a better study aid, in that one has to carefully think through each question and answer and figure out where the book would otherwise lead them astray. That said, it's a tiresome way to study, and is best accomplished if done in a group.
